JUNE 2019

HAMPTON NH – Boston Storm FC and Seacoast United Sports Club Inc. announce a new partnership beginning in June for the 2019/20 soccer season.

Boston Storm was founded in 1993 as a men’s professional team competing in the USISL, before forming the first women’s team in Massachusetts as founding member of the “W” league in the Northeast Division.  Boston Storm FC’s goal is to follow the footsteps of the original Boston Storm in providing opportunities for its players at all age levels.

As part of this new relationship, Boston Storm FC will now operate under the name Seacoast United Boston SC, and its teams will have the ability to compete in the New England Premiership.

Seacoast United was established in 1992 and maintains a reputation for professionalism and success within the region through a philosophy and vision that is shared by both clubs.  They offer programs in a variety of sports throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, while also hosting tournaments and owning/operating several indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

“Dennis has been involved in the development of youth and adult soccer for years and is known by many of our current staff and colleagues, some of which played for him years ago.  His philosophy is similar to that of the Seacoast United coaching staff and we welcome the opportunity to partner with him and his club,” commented Seacoast United COO Ian Burgess.  “Seacoast United has recently expanded into Massachusetts and teaming up with Boston Storm is exciting as it will allow a pathway to both boys and girls DA in the metro Boston area.”

This new partnership allows for Seacoast United Boston SC to maintain their local administration, while providing additional opportunities for player development that now includes a pathway for National Premier Leagues (NPL) and the US Soccer Development Academy (DA) via Seacoast United.  Additional coaching education and resources will also available to the coaching staff.
