Seacoast United North Shore prides itself on working with local communities, schools & businesses. However their newest partner, Bradford Christian Academy (BCA), is a match made in heaven with both groups holding similarities with their vision and goals for the future.
“BCA enables students to reach their full potential in academics, the arts, and athletics in an atmosphere of excellence.”
The sentence above is part of BCA’s mission statement; combine that with Seacoast United’s philosophy and we are very much hand in hand.
Carl Smith, Director of Operations for SUSC North Shore, is strongly behind the partnership and has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Boys Varsity Soccer Program at the school for the 2018 season. “It was an opportunity that couldn’t be turned down” said Carl. “The fact that both BCA and SUSC share similar views on educational and athletic development it was easy to see that this coaching job would be a perfect balance between club and high school soccer. The team needs a boost in technical and tactical development and I believe that I will be able to get that across to them and help them develop into a tough team to beat."
Both the boys and girls program at BCA will now train and play at the home of SUSC North Shore, Amesbury Sports Park. With the new turf, the teams have a great opportunity to develop to a high standard thanks to the facilities that they now have the opportunity to use. It is a huge step up considering the teams used to train on a rugged grassy field the past two years.
With a balanced infrastructure of facilities, coaching staff and identity, the soccer program within BCA is stronger than ever and has the ability to grow itself into a very reputable program in the aggressive Massachusetts soccer scene. Whilst the process will take time BCA finds itself in a position to grow its soccer program thanks to the aid of Seacoast United.
